Another week passed and I got more books to drool over. I got many goodies besides first two books in this week's Freebie Friday post.
I finally joined the craze of Lauren Oliver's books and now I own Delirium and Pandemonium myself! I look forward to these two books a lot but I think I need to get the short novellas as well before I start on them. I've read so many great reviews on them I cannot wait to start them.
Another awesome-looking book is You Might Be a Zombie and Other Bad News by
Cracked.com. I love cracked.com, I get stuck on that page way too often and this book will, I know, be all kinds of awesome. Another book that sounds pretty amazing and I got after seeing it around for ages is The Book Thief by Markus Zusak. I read a cute review on it and decided to give it a try. I got a copy of Taxi & Bun and the Pine Valley Werewolf for a review (Thanks to Pavilion books!).
The Blade Itself by Joe Abercrombie is one I have been eying for quite a while and finally caved and got it. Looks like an interesting book and I adore the cover. Because of oncoming movie and many good reviews I got World War Z by Max Brooks. I am not a big fan of zombies but I will read this book and see what's so special about it.
I also already crossed off one of my bookish resolutions this week! I cleaned up my Goodreads to-read shelf, I deleted over 50 % of the books! I don't think I actually wrote down this one but it's the first resolution for 2013 done! I am also failing at one other: getting less books. I will try harder!
I've read Delirium and enjoyed it but haven't yet gotten around to Pandemonium. I think a re-read is in order! Happy reading!

I still haven't read Lauren Oliver's books - I'm a bit wary of them because I'm not sure they'd be my cup of tea. But I've heard so many great things about them, I might as well give them a try. :) Hope you enjoy them too! x

Delirium is really good! I have yet to read Pandemonium but I hope you will love them :) And the novellas will be released in paperback form in March, I think, so I'm definitely getting those! Also: THE BOOK THIEF <3

Oh yeahhh! Love zombie books - I still have to read World War Z though & soon, before the movie comes out! Heard it was awesome! I really liked Delirium! I still have Pandemonium on my shelf to read - I bought Annabel (0.5) just now when you mentioned the novellas! I forgot about that one. Hope you love all your new reads! New follower! :D

THE BOOK THIEF!!! Sorry for the enthusiastic reply, haha, but I absolutely LOVE that book. It's one of my favorites. It's so gorgeous, pretty, beautiful and perfect (L)(L) Please read that one as soon as possible, you won't regret it! I re-read it every year and I still fall in love with the writing-style and the touching story <3

ReplyDeleteYAYYYY, I hope you enjoy the Delirium books as much as I did. The novella's aren't necassary to complete the story(you don't have to read them in order) but they are a nice addition. I really want to read The Book Thief, I have heard awesome things about it!
