Top Ten Tuesday

Top Ten Authors That I'd Put On My Auto-Buy List
(basically an auto-buy list is no questions asked..you love this author so much that no matter what they wrote next you'd buy regardless of genre or subject matter)

Huh, tough one. I don't think I can gather up ten of those, but I do have some ultimate favorites where I already own all their works, no questions asked.

1. J K Rowling - Last thing I bought from her was The Casual Vacancy. I knew the book was coming out and I knew I'm going to buy it. I did it on the day of the release not even knowing what exactly I just bought. But I loved the book and I plan to buy anything from her in the future, even if it's a phone book.

2. George R R Martin - Same as for JKR, I love this author so much I plan to buy the next thing he publishes without so much as a blink. I already have all of his works (I think) and I cannot wait for more.

3. John Green - Even though I didn't love every single of his books I would gamble with the next one he publishes and buy it without even looking it up before. I adore his work and I hope to read something else by him soon.

4. Agatha Christie - I have been a fan since I was little and my mom introduced me to the author with her own copies of Christie's novels. I am currently in the process of buying all her books, I am filling my shelves with Hercule Poirot now. She may not publish anything anymore but in case she left some hidden or unfinished stories, I'd buy them.

5. Richelle Mead - Every single book I've read from her by now was one of my favorites, I absolutely adore her work, she's a genius. I have all her books either on my "read" shelf or my wishlist, slowly making my way through them. I will absolutely read anything from her.

That would be all. I have many other authors I really like but I don't think they qualify for an auto-buy just yet. Who made your list?

This weekly meme is from The Broke and the Bookish.

  3. John Green made my list, as did J.K Rowling. They could probably write a book about watching paint dry and I'd read it and love it. Great list!

  4. I'm the same as you with Agatha Christie - it was my mum's enthusiasm and her books that got me into this genre and her books and I've loved her ever since.
And I agree about Jo as well! :)

  6. Oh my gosh, we both said almost the exact same thing about Agatha Christie, AND you're the only other list I've seen so far that picked her.
