Vampire Academy casting news

I don't know why I didn't post about this before since I saw the news on Friday evening. I am a little scattered lately. 

So anyway, there has been a great update on Vampire Academy movie news. In case you haven't seen it already, here it is:

The main three characters for the series have been selected! The cast so far is Zoey Deutch as Rose, Danila Kozlovsky as Dimitri, and Lucy Fry as Lissa. 


The reactions to the cast is very mixed but the majority of people seem to love them a lot. I am not all that amused. I imagined Rose far more dark-skinned (although Zoey looks pretty perfect for the role nevertheless), Lisa more doll-like and Danila is a little too young looking I think (although the picture here is pretty yum!). It's just my first impression. I'm often not satisfied so I'll have to wait and see. Teasers and trailers often change my mind so I'll probably end up loving the whole thing, it is VA academy after all, one of my favorite series of all times!

There are some other things about the movie like crazy rumors and movie title changes.

If you're new to the series or got stuck in the middle, hurry up and finish the books because they are absolutely amazing!
I cannot wait for this movie to come, I'm overly excited already! How about you?

  1. Gosh, I think I really need to read Vampire Academy now before the movie comes out! When is the release date anyway? I didn't even know that Vampire Academy is being turned into a movie... Thanks for sharing, Ula! Now I know what I need to find ;)

    1. Sej bom js tut še okrog pršla pa mi bo itak vse super fajn ker je serija fenomenalna, ampak prvi vtis je mal tko tko :D

  3. Ula I think Dimka is 25 in the book and Danila the actor is currently 27 so the age is pretty spot on, It's just an unfortunate pic... :)

    1. Oh yes I know but he looks young. They will probably make him super badass for the movie, makeup power and whatnot ^^ CANNOT WAIT! :D

  4. I think the guy they cast as Dimitri, is better suited to play Adrian.
