Health and fitness are directly related, and the benefits of physical activity to a person’s overall health are numerous.

These 11 components can be divided in to 5 health related parts and the 6 skill components of physical fitness. Physical fitness is the ability to carry out tasks efficiently; Skill related fitness, is fitness that conditions the body or specific muscles for a primary goal of improving a skill.

It is looking & feeling healthy, and living a healthy lifestyle. The benefits of physical fitness are numerous, but one main advantage is that it improves your mental, emotional and social health. For example, high knees is useful for building the strength and endurance of hipflexors, quadriceps, and glutes and can considered to be skill related fitness for an athlete requiring strength and endurance in those muscles.

Skilled athletes typically excel in all six areas. The six skill related components of fitness: Agility, balance, coordination, power, reaction time, and speed.

This ability is an important part of most sports.
